"We attended a career guidance review with Dundalk Study Academy with 2 clear objectives-my daughter is currently in TY.
1. Understand the LC subjects, the process and impacts on CAO choices
2. Help my daughter select LC subjects that suit her strengths
The DSA Guidance Councillor had prepared an individual report based on an earlier questionnaire, CAT4, Junior Cert and Qualifax survey.
Each LC subject was expertly reviewed covering both content and marking scheme and an indication of which subjects required more work than others.
We also covered in detail how subject choice impacts (or not!) CAO course selection and ultimately career options.
Overall my daughter came out with a decision on which subjects to choose for LC, and while the longer term CAO /Career options are still not decided, we now know that the LC subjects chosen will not limit her choices.
I have no hesitation in recommending the DSA Career Guidance session."
