DSA after school study runs Monday to Friday from 4:15- 8pm. Session one runs 4.15-6pm with a break from 6- 6:30pm and session two runs 6.30-8pm. Wednesdays study sessions run from 2-3.45pm and 4.15-6pm with a break from 3:45- 4:15pm. We open from 1.15pm for students to have their lunch. Once signed up, students can attend as many or as little sessions as they wish in a week. Students may leave or arrive at break times and can pick and choose what sessions to attend depending on after school activities. We follow the school term- after school study does not run during school holidays.
Study is term payment. The second term is 17 term weeks from January 8th to May 24th 2024 and can be paid upfront or in two instalments before week one and by week five of term. Spaces are limited so payment is due to secure the spot- all current members receive preference and we are now nearly at capacity. You can pay in our office by cash or cheque, via bank transfer or via the link below. Discounts available for siblings- please contact us if you have more than one student interested or if you also do grinds at DSA.
The Benefits of Supervised Study at Dundalk Study Academy
✓ Students are in a comfortable, welcoming environment that is solely focused on maximising study; we will ensure that there is no noise, no distractions and no messing.
✓ We are aware that students have busy timetables outside of school and we endeavour to accommodate this; by offering later sessions, students can still attend their after school commitments and then join the later study sessions in the Academy.
✓ Mobile phones are not allowed during study sessions. Students must place their phone in a holding area during the sessions so they have no temptations.
✓ Students get into a routine of study early on in the year and the pressure and stress of studying last minute is eliminated.
✓ Students are supervised by fully qualified, Garda vetted teachers on site, who are there to help with study queries, give students study tips, keep students on task and encourage and motivate them in their studies.
✓ Students have access to an extensive range of study resources including stationary, exam papers in all subjects, textbooks, study guides and iPads to aid and progress their education.
✓ There is access to tea and coffee at breaks where students can discuss their study techniques, learn from each other and meet new friends.
✓ We keep in close contact with parents and update them on their son/daughter’s progress throughout the term. We also have an absentee text service available.
✓ Students are surrounded by like-minded people who have a desire to do well in their exams and they encourage each other to work hard.
✓ As study is offered every evening from Monday to Saturday afternoon, students can get their hard work out of the way and enjoy the rest of the weekend guilt free!
